Next has been promoting the “SHARE THE SECRETS OF NEXT.CO.UK” page where apparently if you introduce a friend to Next you’ll both receive £20 off.

Next states “Your friend must be new to Next and place the first order of £50 or more to qualify for the offer using the same email address you use to recommend them.”

We have tried several times and we never got an email back. This is the Url:

It simply doesn’t work.

Dispatch Weekly isn’t surprised, the UK clothing retailer is predicting a difficult 2017 year ahead, providing a blow to the industry at the start of the Christmas reporting season.

Next forecast pre-tax profit for the following fiscal year in the range of 680 million pounds to 780 million pounds, below estimates of about 784 million pounds.

Next is also well known for low minimum wage salaries. Here is what an employee stated on the 26th December 2016 on the Glass Door website: “Pay is awful. Only managers can make a living that equates to a proper salary. Not allowed a day off in December due to Christmas sales. End of season sale time is ridiculous, very long hours, little to no thanks from management.

As Next correctly stated on Bloomberg:

We expect the cyclical slowdown in spending on clothing and footwear to continue into next year.

We aren’t surprised if retailers treat customers and staff unfairly.
