Bubble app releasing a new marketplace for those who can’t code

Bubble, a tool to craft web apps and webpages without knowing how to write code, is about to push a plugin marketplace where users can buy and sell plugins that have already been coded for and tested. The entire interface is click-based with a completely visual programming process.

Simply drag and drop the feature you want to create your vision. It seeks to make easy the difficult task of coding an app from scratch, with so many already pre-coded features that you could create a web app that functioned exactly like Airbnb.

What’s new?

It is a further push from Bubble’s creators to make web and app development accessible for small-scale creators who lack the ability to code or the funds to pay for a professional developer. This new step is set to create an ecosystem where developers can contribute to the wider community, whilst earning from their work. Bubble users will then be able to purchase these plugins to suit their needs and implement them into their web apps and web pages.

Speaking to Emmanuel Straschnov, Bubble’s co-founder, about the concept behind the tool, he said, “The idea behind Bubble is that building software should be as easy as using software. In other words, we believe that people shouldn’t have to learn how to code, but instead, we should be able to use a visual and intuitive interface to build websites, apps, etc.”

In the world, many potentially brilliant projects are halted by an engineering ineptitude and Bubble is seeking to resolve this. Reviews by users have stated that if one can create and craft an excel spreadsheet, they will be able to use Bubble to its full capabilities. Having a plugin market will simply further the tools use, by allowing users to include more advanced features in their application.

Bubble are changing the app world game

Currently, web apps are the main focus of the creation tool, however, Bubble has recently implemented a beta for iOS app creation, allowing apps to be created natively for Apple’s iOS. Bubble may be used to create a product, such as a social network, a marketplace or a delivery app, but Straschnov comments on its ability to also increase productivity within a workplace, creating tools that speed up general work life. He also notes that right now students are using their tool to experiment for school projects and that this could be many programmers and developer first foray into this industry.

Bubble was founded by Emmanuel Straschnov and Josh Haas in 2012, but has now grown into a dynamic team of 5. Bubble has a community of 105,038 users, and more than 70,824 apps have been built using the platform. The company, also, allows members of the wider community to help others use this tool via the “become a partner” feature. This allows companies and developers who are well versed with the Bubble interface to either make your app idea for a fee or to simply guide you through the process. Partners can also interact with the community by designing widgets that make the overall Bubble platform easier to utilise.
