Last Friday, Samsung recalled Galaxy Note 7 cellphones when reports were made that they were catching fire or exploded when charging.
The stopped sales and replacements of 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 cellphones were estimated to cost Samsung up to $1 billion.
According to Credit Suisse, for every Galaxy Note 7 unit it sells, Samsung gets around $600 in revenue and $108 operating profit. During the run up to Christmas, the South Korean company was hoping to ship 4-5 million units in the current quarter.
Here are five times you definitely don’t want your Galaxy Note 7 battery exploding on you.
#1 When You’re About to Orgasm

You’ve set the romantic music, dimmed the lights and are getting in the mood with your partner, when “bam!” the moment’s over. It’s all over her face.
#2 When You’re Cooking Pasta

Who knew cooking a simple 7-minute Italian dish could be so hair-raising?
#3 When You’re Showing Off Your Latest Skateboard Skills
Just when you were showing off your latest skateboard trick, gravity and an overheated cellphone battery brought you back down to earth.
#4 When You Give the Baby Your Galaxy Note 7 Battery to Play With
No babies were harmed in the making of this post, well only third-degree burns and mental scars. Do not give your baby your Galaxy Note 7 to play with, unless you secretly hate it for stealing your youth and want it to die a horrible death.
#5 When You’re Making a Fruit Salad
You’ve bought fruits, chopped the watermelons and are now adding grapes to your almost too-good-to-be-true fruit salad, when, “boom!” your Galaxy Note 7 battery explodes in your hand and the cats get hit by watermelon skins. Although watermelon hats could be the new cat craze to hit 2016.
